8 Months Pregnant with Baby P

Hey friends!! How are you? Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers out there! I can’t believe next year I will have an almost 1 year old on Mother’s Day… so crazy to think about!

I spent the weekend in Dallas with my sister and her boyfriend and took like zero pictures. I made it back Saturday evening and have been relaxing and getting things done around the house since then.

Since we had a big ultrasound last week (32 weeks) I thought I would provide a pregnancy/baby update today!

The most common question I have gotten is: can we see a picture of the nursery? LOL yall.. We have a crib, bassinet, dressers, but no decor and baby things are everywhere in the nursery. I thought I would care more about decorating a nursery than I actually do. My thought is that the baby is going to be in a bassinet in our room for at least a few months so I just don’t have a sense of urgency to get the nursery completed. ๐Ÿ™‚

As always, a week behind on pictures. :). Last Thursday marked 32 weeks so I need to get up to date on my bump pics! lol… Can you tell I am putting in less and less effort with each bump pic? They started out cute with hair and makeup done and a cute outfit and now I am in workout clothes with no makeup and hair in a bun. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last week at our ultrasound we got to see baby P, but he/she kinda hid from the camera so no great pictures. We were able to see a LOT of hair…which is no surprise because my husband and I both have a ton of thick hair.

Baby P is measuring a week ahead and in the 59 percentile weighing 4.7lbs. I’ve officially gained 22 pounds and I am feeling it. I thankfully still feel really good and my biggest complaint is still my acid reflux/heartburn after eating. The only thing that is helping is walking a lot after meals. I have been hitting my 10,000 step goal every day pretty easily because moving just feels better than sitting still these days.

The baby is head down, which is great news and hoping it stays that way. Hoping to avoid a c-section especially since I have had two past abdominal surgeries so my doctor would like to avoid creating any additional scar tissue. But, obviously we will just do what is best for me and the baby. My birth plan is just to do whatever is necessary to keep me and the baby healthy. I think this approach will be best for me so that if my birth requires an emergency c-section, I am prepared for it.

My husband is convinced the baby is a girl and until last week I thought the baby was for sure a boy. But, I have kinda felt like the baby is a girl the last few days… not sure why. We are very excited to meet the baby and find out the sex!! eeeek! We are at the point now where we get to go every 2 weeks to check on the baby, which is starting to make it all feel very real!!

A few pictures of my fur babies. ๐Ÿ™‚

Riley and Tito sitting next to me while I do my nightly walk on the treadmill after dinner. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My sunshine loving boy!

Sometimes these two like to snuggle.. it is rare, but it sure is cute!

My sister and her fiance are fostering this little pup and she is the sweetest thing ever. She and Tito played nonstop and it was the cutest thing ever. I told Jon that Tito needed a puppy… he disagreed. ๐Ÿ™‚

That is all for today! I’ll be back later this week to share a few meals I am loving lately!! I hope you all had the best weekend and have a great week ahead!!
