Off For a Little Getaway

Hey friends! Happy Friday!! This week has been a doozy and I’m thankful it is finally Friday! After work we are heading to Dallas for the weekend and we will get to see some of my family and some of my husband’s family which will be nice!! It has been a LONG time since we have seen family so we are really looking forward to it. My husband is playing in a charity golf tournament so that inspired this trip. 🙂

Yall, we had to pull the trigger and get rid of our sad, dead lemon tree. I am so sad. We actually are going to have to replace all of our plants in the backyard so we are trying to decide what to get. We shall see!

My dad is the cutest and sent me this bump box in the mail. I’ve been using the scrub and lotion and peppermint oil (for my headaches) daily. Such a sweet and fun surprise!! I just love getting mail!!

Yesterday actually marks 26 weeks – this picture was from last week – I am always a week behind on here. :). I am starting to really feel pregnant. Thankfully I still am not feeling swollen, I just feel like I have a basketball in my tummy. Ha! I am still feeling good, but sleep has become pretty hard to come by these days, between the dogs (all 3 like to sleep on my side), my huge pregnancy pillow, storms, getting up to pee every hour, and then trying to readjust… it is a workout. LOL. But all in all, I feel good and feel so lucky I have made it this far and have remained healthy. I think I am up about 16 pounds now, but I have still been able to maintain my exercising and daily walks so I’m just super grateful. I don’t think I ever told y’all but I finally got to feel baby P move at around 24-25 weeks (my placenta is in front so my doctor told me it would be later than usual before I could feel the baby move). Last week Jon finally got to feel the baby move too!! It is a weird but super sweet feeling. The baby is very active at night and even kept me up almost all night moving one night. LOL!!

I just finished two really good books – Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover (probably my favorite of hers) and a short one called The Beach House by Rachel Hanna.

I have a few more of Colleen Hoover’s in the lineup so I’m sure I will make some progress on those this weekend! I’m off to finish up work and finish packing. I hope you all have a great rest of your Friday and a wonderful weekend!!
