Hey guys!! I hope you all had a nice weekend and your week is going great so far. My weekend was wonderful and passed by way too quickly as usual. I told you guys my husband was away on a boys trip at the lake all weekend so I filled my time with my best girl friends, which always makes for a great weekend.
Unfortunately I forgot to pull out my camera a lot this weekend and only ended up with a few pictures… some of them borrowed. 🙂
Let’s back up to Friday when I had dinner plans with my bestie, Lissa, at a new Asian restaurant that opened recently in the Gulch called Sunda. I forgot to take any pictures, but we started with the spicy edamame (soo yummy) and I got some sushi and Lissa got a salmon dish. It was all delicious. We called it an early night after dinner.
Saturday morning I got in a quick workout and took the pups on a walk before my other bestie, Rachael, came over to my house. She brought the CUTEST basket with a sweet note, rose, and the most precious handmade cookies to ask me to be her bridesmaid in her wedding next year. I said yes! 😉 Rachael was one of my bridesmaids in my wedding so I know just how special it is to have your besties by your side on your big day. I can’t wait for her big day!
We grabbed an Uber from my house and got lunch at Whiskey Kitchen. This lunch included cocktails because we were heading to our high school reunion Saturday afternoon.
Our 10 year high school reunion was on the rooftop of Blake Shelton’s bar, Ole Red.
There weren’t a ton of people there (our graduating class was only about 81 people), but it was a fun afternoon chatting and catching up with old friends.
Then Rach and I came back and relaxed the rest of the night in our pj’s with our pups. We made dinner and watched murder shows until we all went to bed at 9pm. 🙂 . We are too fun.
Sunday morning I got some things done around the house like washing the sheets, doing a couple loads of laundry, doing some dishes, taking the dogs on a walk in the park, and completing a short resistance band workout before heading to my momma’s house to help her with some baking. We tried to lay by the pool, but every time we would get outside, the rain would start and everytime we were in the middle of baking, the sun would shine. The universe just did not want us to have a pool day. 🙂
Later Sunday afternoon my husband arrive home and we just had a relaxing, slow, Sunday night. That’s all I’ve got for today, but check back in tomorrow because I have some news to share!! xoxo
Questions:
- Best part of your weekend?
- Have you attended any high school reunions?
- Do you have fall weather yet where you live? (We are going to start getting some fall temperatures around here this week.)
So nice to have a girls weekend! Hopefully your fall is beautiful, since it’s costing you pool time

Best Part of My Weekend = SLEEPING! I have been dealing with so much stress and anxiety lately that I haven’t been sleeping. So this weekend I decided to miss a race and slept 4 more hours instead. Was it disappointing to miss the race? Yes, it was. BUT I was so glad that my family supported my decision to stay home and in the end I had a great day hanging out at home with my dad.
No High School reunions for me. It has been 10 years since I graduated from high school, but I don’t foresee us having a reunion.
Finally, the rain came through last weekend and I thought we were going to start getting fall temps but it has since warmed up again this week. Hopefully by this weekend it will finally cool down!! I am ready for the cool weather!

Good for you Lindsay. That is such a wise choice you made to listen to your body and catch up on sleep. That would be hard for me to miss a race too so I totally get it.
The temps were high here yesterday, but when I let the dogs out this moving, it was cold!!!

Oh my gosh!!! What a cute way she asked you!!! Love it.
Darn it, Universe, haha. Isn’t that always how it goes?!
Best part of my weekend was hanging with my sister in law for her birthday!
No high school reunions yet!
We don’t really have full on fall weather like back in OH, BUT I do love the falls here. The weather is cooler, but comfortable especially for running, and the leaves do change a bit (just not all out!).

I love fall for running too. It is so nice not to be miserably hot the whole time. I’m excited to wear sweaters and boots soon!
