Housewarming at the New House!

Good morning!! I am away at the lake right now enjoying some down time with my family.  I hope you guys have a fun and relaxing weekend ahead!

Let’s rewind to last weekend!  Saturday afternoon we had a housewarming party at our new house for all our family, friends, and coworkers.  We had a pretty good turnout and the weather was just perfect.

We started our Saturday with a nice walk to the local coffee shop (our new house is very walkable… we tried to be suburb people… we just can’t do it ;)) with the pups and then walked to the park to relax a bit before the madness.  These two just live for their walks. 🙂

The “florist” aka my momma, arrived Saturday morning with a HUGE bucket full of hydrangeas.  Is there a prettier flower?  We filled a LOT of vases and scattered them all over the house.  Most of them are still hanging in there!!

Fresh flowers just make me SO happy!

I literally did not take ANY pictures during our party, but I guess that means we were having fun!!  Well I did manage to get this picture of our besties!

We had such a fun time playing games outside, enjoying some food and drinks and just catching up with everyone.  After everyone left, we went to a local bar for some live music with our friends in the last picture, Eric and Rachael.  Let’s just say.. the music wasn’t the best, but the company was amazing! 🙂

My flowers were “getting in the way” of my husband watching TV so they found a new home.  Rachael gave me this beautiful table runner that actually matches our accent chair that you can see in the very back of this picture.  So thoughtful.

On Sunday after lots of cleaning, organizing, running, and walking the pups, I headed over to my mom’s for some relaxing at her pool.  It was such a beautiful day.  They live next to a big horse farm.  Nature sure is beautiful!

I hope you all have a fun and safe 4th of July!  I am so thankful for my freedom! xoxoxo

  1. If you had a party, what type of food would you serve?
  2. Do you like horses?  I fell off one when I was at summer camp when I was younger and I have been scared of them every since.
  3. Any special recipes that you make for the 4th of July each year?
