Last Weekend in Dallas

Good morning!  How are you?  We are busy bees around here getting everything settled.  I have a couple more days before I start my new job in Nashville so I am soaking it up.

Let’s rewind to our last few days in Dallas.  I always have help when I do my laundry…isn’t that nice? 😉  Callie is hiding in “her” corner, but didn’t want to miss out on the picture. 🙂

Friday evening we decided to go bowling.  I bowled terrible the first game, but did great the second game.

The girls!

Callie gets professionally shaved a few times per year, but we usually shave Riley ourselves.  We definitely underestimated how long it would take and Riley was less than thrilled when we were still shaving away 4 hours later… yeah, next time I will pay the $50 to have someone else do it. 🙂

Then Riley found a new hang out spot.  This is in our garage.  You do not want to see what it looks like right now.

Sunday night we went to Meso Maya with Jon’s aunt and uncle and some family friends for dinner.  I had the salmon (are you surprised?) with fried brussel sprouts.  🙂

When Mimi comes to town, the dogs get whoopie pies.  Aren’t they so cute?

The first morning my mom was in town, she and Jon walked to the local bakery for some morning treats.  Don’t they look sooo good?

On Monday, Jon, my mom, and I met my sister for lunch at La Madeleine.  It hit the spot!

When we got home, we got all of our clothes packed up for our road trip the following day. Then we needed a nap. 😉  This is where Riley chose to lay.  Can’t blame him.. my head is comfy. 😉

On Monday night, we all went to Yucantan for dinner.

Love these girlies!  (Morg, isn’t it about time you move to Nashville now too?)

  1. Do you like to go bowling?
  2. Restaurant you eat at the most often?
  3. What’s one thing making you happy today?

  1. Oh my goodness Riley is so stinkin cute!!!! What kind of dog is Riley? I love the picture of you guys lounging on the couch; threes company! It’s crazy how good the dog treats look, I swear it’s almost better than something we’d eat lol I’m not the greatest at bowling but once I get going, I’m unstoppable! Ps- totally not surprised by the salmon 😉 Can’t wait to see how the move/transition goes for you guys- best of luck!!!

    1. Aww thanks girl!! We aren’t quite sure what type of dogs he is since he was a rescue.. but we have heard: long haired chi mix, papillon and terrior. Who knows! lol My Mom got those dog treats at a dog bakery and told the lady that she needed to make human treats too because they looked soo good she wanted to eat them! Thank you for your sweet words! xoxoxo

      1. Lol one time I went to petco and they have this huge assortment of dog cookie treats, they literally look like cookies we would eat, soo I bought a few and for a April Fools prank, I gave them to some of my friends (I only let them eat one each) and they did before I told them they were dog treats…but they swear it didn’t taste any differently! Ha I guess that’s the best possible outcome opposed to getting sick from them lol

  2. You ordered salmon?! Say it ain’t so 😉 It looked super tasty! Also-You officially have some of the cutest pups ever! And those whoopie pies Mimi made for them are TOOOOO cute! Sounds like you are adjusting well so far!
    – Bowling: YES! We don’t go often, but I definitely enjoy it when we do!
    – Hmmmm maybe a sushi spot near hear or Oren’s hummus shop! (Subway is our “fast food” go to!)
    – DJ and I are going to another comedy show in SJ- with Bob Saget doing stand up! So we are pretty excited!

Can’t wait to read all about the new places you explore! xoxo

      1. Hahahhah GIRL. He was SOOOOO vulgar. Like middle school male vulgar. I’ll tell ya’ll all about it. It was something! Hope your weekend has been a dream. Oh and yes- that hummus shop- insane. You would LOVE it. It’s a small chain right now but I wouldn’t be surprised if they start popping up in big cities in no time!

  3. I’m so shocked that you ordered salmon…haha!! I stink at bowling but I always think its so fun…I did glow bowling for my bachelorette party it was so fun. There’s a japanese/sushi place near us we get quite a bit. It’s like half a block away so it’s convenient and delicious!
