Hi guys! How is your week going? I keep forgetting what day it is this week. 🙂 Back to where I left off yesterday…
On Saturday night we headed to my sister’s apartment before taking a short walk to her friend’s place.
All the cool kids (at the party) were heading out to the bars for the night, but we just stopped in for a drink. Hey, at least I got out of my workout clothes for a bit…
After about an hour, we headed back to my sister’s apartment where we met a few more of their friends for some games and munchies!
This guy has been my NYE kiss for the past 7 years! I sure do love him. 🙂
Otis needed some loving!
My sister bought me a new curling iron for Christmas and I am in love! The one I have been using is a smaller wand and the new one is much bigger and takes less time for loose waves!
And a few pictures from Friday night that I meant to add to the last post!
He loves me, I swear. 😉
Jon got Max golfclubs for his birthday and he was pretty pumped!
After ringing in the new year, we headed home and went to bed. The next morning my husband asked for all the fixings for breakfast. I delivered. He is so lucky to have me. 😉
I did quite a few treadmill miles over the week. The best ones were spent watching Bridesmaids. I have probably seen this movie at least 50 times and it still makes me laugh out loud every time. Yes, my treadmill is currently in the garage… my husband said that a treadmill does not belong in the office especially when trying to sell the house… I disagree, I mean maybe a buyer is a runner and will appreciate my love for exercise? 😉 I lost the battle. The treadmill is definitely going front and center in our new house.
This is the view I had after my run. One husband and three dogs. 🙂
Lunch on Sunday was leftover wild rice, broiled tofu, sauteed kale, and avocado. Mmmm!
That is all I have for today! Enjoy your Wednesday!
Questions:
- Favorite board game?
- Do you like to take naps?
- Did you make it up until midnight on NYE?
HNY!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you on your new adventures in Nashville! Looks like you had a great holiday season. We did too. NO— I did not make it to midnight on NYE and rarely do lately. But we start early like at 4pm with Champagne and good food and that’s just how it is and I am good with that.

I love the title….”we went out….Kinda” LOL thats totally something I’d say too. I much prefer a low key NYE celebration. Having done the whole “going out and partying” every year up until this current one, I was totally over it and wanted to keep my night more relaxing and calm. That breakfast you cooked for your husband looks so good, love the mini pancakes! And your hair is goals the thickness, color, and curls… love it!
xo, JJ

Sounds like a lovely new years and day after! I didnt make it until midnight this year. My husband had to work at 6am the next morning so we both called it an early night. We did watch a movie and have a nice dinner before though! We celebrated the new year at 10pm and then went to bed! haha

That looks like such a perfect NYE! Love it! Otis is too darn cute. What kind of dog is he again?!? And pleaseeee help me with curling!!!! Yours are always perfect. Also- bridesmaid is one of the best movies of all time, also one of the most quotable- all through college my friends and I “Help me, I’m poor” was our go-to line. Haha, girl take a picture of that treadmill smack dab in the middle of the living room in the new house when you put it there.. hahahha. And ohhh my goodness, that salad at the end looks insanely good. Broiled tofu- I need to try that! I hope your week has been off to an amazing start!!! ❤

Haha I was seriously terrible at curling my hair for years then finally got the hang of it one day.
HAHAHA the airplane scene is by FAR the best scene in Bridesmaids…”There is a colonial woman on the wing and she is churning butter!”
Have a great day, girly!!
