Happy New Year friends! I hope you all had a nice long weekend and a happy new year!! I am definitely feeling refreshed and ready for 2017! We had a pretty low key weekend over here, which is just what I needed after holiday travel.
Friday was pretty low key with a few errands and getting the house ready to sell. I have been loving sauteed kale lately and have had it with quite a few meals lately. It’s just so good!
Friday afternoon was spent getting ready for my sister and her boyfriend to come over for dinner and games and to exchange gifts. We had tacos for dinner… I made mine a rice bowl instead. It hit the spot!
After dinner, we opened gifts. The pups helped. 🙂
And then we played a few rounds of Taboo! Did I mention that Butterball is back!?!? That is our nickname for this sweet pup we watch occasionally. He is soo cute.
Riley found the perfect seat in an opened present box. 😉
We started this puzzle. We still haven’t finished it…
Then I did some juicing!
This was my view in the morning… coffee, lemon water, a smoothie, and some juices!
More smoothies were had over the weekend. With peanut butter. 🙂
I just can’t get enough of roasted veggies these days. What is your favorite way to eat veggies?
This is how we all felt by Sunday afternoon… 🙂
But, we napped and then got ready to head to my sister’s for NYE. I’ll share more pictures tomorrow. I am running around like a crazy person today trying to get our house ready for showings tonight. Have a wonderful rest of your day!
Questions:
- How was your NYE? Did you stay in or go out?
- What was the highlight of your holidays?
- What is your favorite way to eat veggies?
There’s something so relaxing about puzzles that I love. I was thinking of finding a nice one of something scenic and then framing it howeverrrr, I haven’t even gotten around to finding a puzzle just yet lol Taco nights are the best nights, its so easy yet so yummy! I always end up making mine into a rice bowl or taco salad too, I just love the fillings too much that whenever I put it into a shell it never folds up. Did you make your own guac?

I totally agree.. doing a puzzle is so relaxing for me too.
I completely feel ya on the taco fillings… I am the same way.. I have to make mine into a bowl because there is just too much to fit into a tortilla. 🙂 Yes, homemade guac is the way to go!!

Yum those juices look amazing! Actually all of the food in this post does! I think roasting is definitely my favorite way to eat veggies! I love to change up the seasonings I add to them!

Oh that is a good idea! I usually stick to the same few seasonings, but I definitely should try to switch it up a bit!
