Weekend Recap 12.5.16… A Whole Lot of Nothing To Do

Hi friends!  How was your weekend?  Mine was amazing.  It was so nice to be home and not have anything on the agenda for the weekend.  The weather in Dallas this weekend was perfect for a lazy weekend spent indoors… it was cold and rainy.

We spent Friday night watching Christmas movies (Elf and Home Alone) and Saturday night we had plans to go out to dinner, but quickly scratched those for another night at home when we realized it was going to rain all night.  We headed to Trader Joes and got some munchies to enjoy at home.

I am a snacker and would much rather have a little bit of everything than a big meal.  This hit the spot.  Oh, I can’t forget the delicious bottle of red wine we split.  Yum!

This is what 99% of our weekend looked like… exciting, I know! 😉

Sunday afternoon after a quick run, I met up with my sister for a coffee date.  She studied for her law school finals (she’s got the brains of the family) while I applied to jobs in Nashville (there are no open positions in Nashville at my current company).

Recycled picture from last week when we did the same exact thing.  Going to miss this girl.

After a few hours of work, my husband and I headed out for dinner at Villa-O.  I had been here once or twice before when visiting my sister in college and wanted my husband to try it before we move.

I got the ahi tuna salad and he got a pizza.  The tuna was out of this world!

I feel so rested after a low-key weekend at home and am so glad I am starting Monday feeling so refreshed.  Sometimes a weekend with no plans is just what you need.  I made it to the gym at 6am for a Body Pump class so I think it is about time for a cup of coffee!  I hope you all have a wonderful day!! I have some fun posts scheduled for this week so stay tuned!

  1. What did you do this weekend?
  2. Are you going to watch the Victoria Secret fashion show tonight?
  3. What was/will be your workout today?

  1. Love relaxing weekends! I threw my mother in law a surprise party this weekend. After months of planning, it went off without any glitches!
