Hi Friends! Happy Friday afternoon!! The weekend is here! I am stopping in a bit later today because I had a pretty busy morning starting at 5am when my alarm clock went off for an early morning class at the gym. I just love starting my day that way. Then it was off to the grocery store to fill the fridge before I headed to the airport to pick up my momma! She is in town for the weekend so it should be a good one! We just love having visitors!
In true Friday Favorites fashion, I will share my favorites from the week in no particular order!
I just can’t get enough of this snack/light lunch combo of two rice cakes, avocado, hard boiled egg white, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, pepper, and a little olive oil. So good!
This sweet girl came over yesterday and is staying with us for the weekend. All she wants to do is play with my two pups. Callie and Riley would rather sleep. 🙂
She loves Jon too.
Today we met my sister and her boyfriend for lunch at Eureka. We were all pretty hungry so we started with a few appetizers. These crispy brussels sprouts are my absolutely favorite.
Love these two.
Family.
I got the beet salad with salmon and it came with watermelon pop rocks on it!! Do you guys remember these things from childhood??
My husband got the lobster tacos!! yummmmy!
That about wraps up the highlights of my week!! I hope you guys all have a wonderful weekend!!!
Questions:
- Any fun plans for the weekend?
- What is one food/candy that reminds you of your childhood?
- Sweet potato or regular fries?
All that food looks SO incredibly delicious! The Brussels sprouts! I love Brussels but no one ever else seems to feel the same lol so I never get to order yummy looking dishes like that. Sigh. I’ll just have to drool over your picture lol

YESSS- love the avocado/egg/toast combo! I love how you did it on rice cakes and olive oil. That sounds so good! I’ll definitely be trying that. My laptop is glitchy and sent me straight to the bottom of the post before the top, and when I saw the Lobster Tacos and thought, “those looks like Eureka’s”, sure enough!!! SO.GOOD. And poprocks?!?! Ok- I have got to try that next time. Looks delish. Sounds like great friend and family time too ❤ That's always the best.
– This past weekend (since this was a Friday post), I had a friend over for a mini friendsgiving and then we did the Night Nation Fun Run!
– Zebra gum!
– Sweet potato ALL THE WAY!!!
Hope you are having a great start to your week, dear!
