Happy Friday, friends!! Well it sure is good to be back…I didn’t mean to go all MIA from the blog this week, but I ended up traveling for work and working a 12 hour day Tuesday so life kinda got a little crazy. But, I am getting back into the swing of things and we have two of our good friends coming in town tonight for the long weekend! We are so excited! Until then, I thought I would have a virtual coffee date with you guys. I am sipping my black coffee as we speak.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you, I am going to need a few cups today because I went to an early morning Body Pump class and took a long walk with the dogs all before 8am.
I would tell you that I can’t stop thinking about the amazing, yet simple, dinner I had last night. I made a huge kale salad with lots of goodies on it: craisins, raw corn, chopped almonds, roasted sweet potatoes, shrimp, and avocado. It was soo good!
I would tell you that I am getting a little tired of dog sitting. Don’t get me wrong, I love ALL the dogs, but we have had a few lately that have been testing my patience! 🙂
I would tell you that I feel like I am constantly cleaning my house. I vacuum and mop multiple times a week and I feel like I can’t keep up.
I would tell you that I am going to go shopping this afternoon for the 4 weddings we have coming up in the next two months. I need a few new dresses so it is time to start looking. I would ask you for suggestions on where to get cute dresses (wedding appropriate). I am really looking forward to all the weddings (they are all a plane ride away) and travel as we have been home for the last month, which seems so weird because we usually travel a couple times per month.
I would tell you that I love to bake… for other people. I tend to stay away from baked goods (I’d rather demolish a bag of popcorn), but I love baking, icing and decorating cookies, cupcakes and brownies. I made these last night so we had something sweet for when our guests come to town today. My husband already taste tested them… 🙂
I would tell you that this week has been an emotional one. Nothing in particular happened, but I am just feeling all the emotions. I am really getting excited for fall and the holidays so I can spend some time with my family and my friends.
I would tell you that I tried out a new church on Sunday (I have been church hopping the last couple weeks) and really loved it. For me, church is time for self-reflection and just time to thank God for all that I have.
I would tell you that I am excited for the weekend with our friends. We have a few things planned so it should be a good time!
I am off to refill my cup of coffee! Have a great weekend!
Questions:
- Where would you shop for dresses for a wedding?
- What would you tell me if we were having a coffee date?
- What is on your agenda for the weekend?
that salad does look so good! I love baking for other people too, more so than myself too haha. I hope you have a restful yet fun weekend Taylor!
